HEINER LAMMERS

Colour Art

by Heiner Lammers

Heiner Lammers´joy of painting is the focus of his abstract painting. Color is the driving force behind his abstract painting - for him it is motivation, motif and medium all in one. In depicting the multifaceted richness of colors, he gives them full scope for development without allowing himself to be constricted by any constraints. In any case, his fundamental approach to painting is to paint in a way that suits his mood, his attitude, his desire, etc. In short: he paints what he wants and how he wants it.

Just like color, light and composition play an essential role in the effect and quality of the desired picture.

Despite setting his own priorities, he also looks for other ways of painting and is open to everything. This constant search for something new and his artistic variability prevent his artistic work from being degraded to routine. The fascination of working with unknown is his constant companion and leads him to ever new paths.

When asked about his abstract artisticactivities, he replies: "I paint color." In his abstract, color-dominated paintings, he also likes to give chance a role. In doing so, he prefers an approach in which he sees himself in the role of the assistent, the source of inspiration and ultimately also the director of chance. His pictures are intended toeliced emotions of all kinds from the viewer.

The idea of allowing chance to play a role in his work has also fascinated him from the outset and supports this emotional approach. However, he always avoids the expression "finished picture", as there should always remain mysteries (should the painter have, must have, could have, etc.) or secrets. This state of the finished painting with its colors, structures and compostional arrangements is intended to immerse the viewer in a world of his own.
