Heinrich "Heiner" Lammers was born in 1951 as second of six children in Cloppenburg. He spent most part of his childhood and youth in Gießen. There he also got to know and love the table tennis sport. For many years the elite sport table tennis, besides first professional and school activities, shaped his life. in his carrer as table tennis player he became, among other things, German Champion and runner-up at the Europian Championships.
For a period of approx. ten years he ran a sports business. During the remaining years of his professional life he built housese on his own. He sketched the architecture for the houses either himself or with assistences of architects.
At the end of the sports career he remembered and reflected on his old love for painting. In his self studies he critically looked at this subject. He devoted himself to professional painting when he had turned his back to the professional life. Today Heiner Lammers lives with his wife and his children in a self-built house in Büttelborn (Hessen).
